Grower's Note: Produced by Winery Arts withTempranillo and Cabernet Franc collected in a selection of old vineyards of low production from the high slopes of the foot of moncayo, in Aragon, to the warmest lands through which the Queiles River runs, already in the community of Navarra. The harvest begins in the lowlands around mid-September and develops well into October, which is when the fruits of the highest vineyards are collected. The grapes are harvested in boxes of 15 kilos, which are quickly transported to the winery where the bunches that do not meet the optimal characteristics are removed.Fermentation and maceration in vats of 10,000 kilos at a temperature of 28 degrees, for 3 or 4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, from a selection of fine grain woods. A weekly batonage is performed, and the barrels are individually controlled. Aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Cherry red with a very high robe, with purple tones on the edge of the glass. Complex and tremendously subtle aroma, in which very ripe, almost canned black fruit are combined with spices, coffee and undergrowth aroma. On the palate it is a wide, very structured and long wine, with ripe tannin and great persistence, appearing again in a complex nose.
